Operation Smile - See Jordan!

Interested in transforming children's lives and helping them to smile?  Interested in a fun service opportunity?  If so, come to the first meeting of Operation Smile, a service organization devoted to raising money for children with facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palates.  With the support of this organization, thousands of smiles can be healed through reconstructive surgery.  The first meeting will be in room 310 during Wednesday's Activity Period.  More information about the organization will be shared at this time, and officers will be elected for LHS's first Operation Smile.  If you're looking for a rewarding project, as well as an opportunity for community service, this club may be for you!

Pink Out!

The Key Club at LHS has organized a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Fight for the Cure this week. Each MM will receive a collection bag today, (some were already placed in rooms on Friday afternoon) for students to place donations in. A set of directions has been placed in the bag to help you review the goal of this event, to help raise money for Breast Cancer research. EVERY MM that raises $50 will receive pink cupcakes. On Wednesday, October 19th, we will hold a Pink Out at LHS. We hope to see all LHS students and staff dressed in PINK.
